The Social Conservatism of Soviet Marxism

With the daily sinking of the Anglo-West into the morass of Marxism, it is now common to find on various websites, the few remaining conservatives (and many who supported Bush's socialism but oppose Obama's Marxism)decry that the absolute rot of values and culture in America, Canada, England and to a smaller degree, all of Western Europe, is just like the things were in the Soviet Union. It is thus equally interesting to see that 18 years after the fall of the Soviet Union and the opening of the achieves, the westerners know even less about the Soviet Union than they did 18 years ago.

Outside of Market Economics and Religion (even that is questionable both in that the Soviet Union was far from Athiest and the Anglo-Sphere is far from Christian), and a brief do what you please period during the middle 1920s, the Soviet Union had a lot in common with the the social conservatives in the modern West.

Ok, I will now let you take a moment to get off the floor, drink water, pound your fists, grind your teeth, before we go on.

On the topic of marraige, population control and families. The Soviets were very much so family oriented. They spent large sums of money ideolizing the childhood and promoting large families. Stalin, though a murderous bastard indeed, even banned abortions. Abortion was legalized later and used as birth control, but only because the defunct Soviet economy could not produce things such as condoms. Regardless, abortions were never promoted or pushed. Indeed, the award of the Hero Mother was given to women with many children and they were lionized as the saviors of Soviet society. This is of course not to say that women did not work, they did and a lot worked in the heaviest industry, but none the less, the mother was always placed high.

Family was put on a pedestal and children taught to honor their parents. Abandonment of the old in nursing homes was almost unheard of.

To add to this, infrastructure for children was everywhere. Outside of every apartment building were play grounds for children. Parks were built everywhere. Children's theaters, clubs, sports associations were the norm. Much of this fell apart, unfortunately, during the Yeltsin era of Wall Street backed kelptocracy.

Education was also a very high standard. Sure there was the mandetory indoctronation. But in comparison to what American children suffer, it was rather minor. Most attention was given to reading, writing, mathematics, physics and so on. Even today, with a much lower standard than that of the Soviets, modern Russian education in math alone is 2-3 years ahead of American public schools and literacy is on a much higher rate than the US average of 6 grade. History, geography, literature, sciences, what was considered in the West as classical education, is the norm still in Russia.

Perversion was also not tolerated in the Soviet Union. Be it lethargy, sloth or lust, all were decreed as subhuman and to be fought against by the enlightened man. Hard work was always heralded as a great virtue. Of course when hard work was not rewarded monetary, the call to work hard fell on deaf ears. Exercise and physical fitness was also important, again, something that fell victim in the Yeltsin era is only starting to come back.

As mentioned earlier, family was of great importance, so perversions, like homosexuality was not tolerated and treated as a mental illness to be treated by psychologists not entertained by society or put upon a pedestal. Even Playboy was forbidden as derogatory to women. Childrens cartoons were rarely any bit violent and violence in movies was kept to a minimal where possible.

Of course, without sanctioning religion, Orthodox Christianity to be specific, the Soviets under cut their own goals and desires, just as well as denying the human nature to succeed in work and be rewarded for it, they undercut the ability to move forward economically.

So, the Marxist extremes in the West, those beyond socialistic economic controls and anti religious policies, are not equivalent in Soviet Marxism. The use of abortions for population controls, the Green movements, the State taking the children for "proper" education of the lowest denominator, homosexuality and all other perversions of human nature and the many new and less than wondrous additions that spring up every night and day in the West, such as euthanasia, are not and never did have an equivalent in Soviet Marxism but are a creation all onto the West itself.

Stan, I have a question for you. Were do you get your information, such as the statistics comparing US and Russian education? i'm not trying to argue with you here (yet), just wondering.

The short version is "Stas".

I get it from different areas. Besides world wide testing comparisons which rank nations, also, from speaking with people and from text books that two friends give me. The math is most shocking. What our early 6th grade does is 9th grade American math.

I would agree that Russian education is much more advanced than American public schools. The No Child Left Behind act made public schools bow to the lowest denominator and teach only what the slowest children could learn. Russian schools leave you behind if you can't keep up. Of course, if parents have enough money, the grades can always be purchased. Money for grades is common in modern Russia. However, high standards still remain and the eduction is still superior to the west. Money for grades is less common than the wholesale cheating perpetrated by the American educators themselves when it comes to Standards of Learning test results. School districts receive funding based on these scores; failing schools are required to allow students to transfer to other districts thereby lowering the amount of funding for the school. To prevent this, educators (administration and teachers) cheat the system.

I'm seriously considering a Russian education for my son (who holds a dual citizenship).

Stas, keep up the good fight - educating the pious West to the virtuous and humble East. My eyes were opened 8 years ago in my first visit to Mother Russia. The regrowth of the Holy Russian Orthodox Church is truly inspiring.

The article is absolutely true.
I had my education in one of the Eastern European countries, and now living in the USA...
While it was not all roses, it was inconceivable for pupils in school to behave some of the pupils behave in the American school.
There was discipline and we studied.

I believe your are deeply right In Italy we live in a colony, I'm a padanese independentist of the Lega Nord and feel that our party base would warmly welcome your ideas, if only they could understand what monstrous and evil is the Western Capitalist System, which is only a tool for the greed of the international banksters served by trotzkites servants (on this I wholeheartedly agree with what prof. Panarin says)

I think that we in all Western nations are committing national suicides by immigration as well, again Russia is a model in this as it doesn't allow such kind of reverse colonization that comes from a blend of trotskite neoconism and banksters' interests in destroying Christian and, yes, white civilization.

The american rethoric about a people born from immigration is socially devastating for Europe, swamped by hordes of africans who could never integrate in our societies for evident anthropological reasons: again the trotskites have forbidden any debate through "anti hate speech" laws that are dictatorial, a blatant negation of democracy.

I feel Russia could find a good ally in all the Europeans who are chafing under such chains while their countries are colonized by the immigrants who are just tools for the creation of a world totally dominated by the banksters' cartels of the City and Wall Street.

If only Russia could help such large strata of the European population to organize and stop this colonization, so halting the process towards a NWO dictatorship by a US which is just a tool of the banksters, possibly Europe could be saved.

It is our last occasion, Russia could give us the galleys for our last and final Lepant battle.

The western isn't committing suicide by immigration its being murdered. For all the evil the marxists were able to do they weren't able to change Russians from being Russians. The Russians
are a decent people and nothing the marxists could do could change that. The marxists having moved to the west simply decided to "de-elect the populous and get a new one." This is genocide by mass immigration. There is a reason the US education system doesn't work. Its geared toward a third world population and social indoctrination not education. Most parents who want their kids to have a decent education have shell out money for a private school. That or teach their kids themselves.

Vonbach, I must respectfully disagree on a minor point. You see, the US taxpayer funded education system MUST educate a child to increasingly lower standards with each year of progress. For if children were to be educated to a high standard, they would eventually begin to seek the truth in all things.

Our political masters will have none of that. If the hoi polloi ever question the truth of the great lies used to justify ever tightening restrictions on freedom (anthropogenic global warming, the beauty of socialize medicine, the idea that taxpayers must fund companies who are "too big to fail," and etc...), then we'd have a revolution on our hands.

The answer, as I see it is radical de-centralization.
