In the Case of Pussy Riot, Everyone Is Wrong

In the Case of Pussy Riot, Everyone Is Wrong

All over the world, the heavy hand of the Russian justice system is being criticized for the martyrdom of three innocent angels, only practicing the freedom of speech that is guaranteed them by the Russian constitution. At least that is the line pushed by foreign governments and their lapdog medias. While there is a kernel of truth, there is much more to consider.

On the side of the Russian state, what should have been a minor incident, has been blown up into a daily circus. At the center of this, in all truth, is a simple case of criminal trespass and disturbing the peace. This should have been punished with a stiff fine and a few hundred hours of community service, picking up trash or feeding orphans. Instead, by pursuing very harsh criminal charges and treating these hooligans and glory hounds as desperate criminals, they have created martyrs out of petty criminals and glory hounds. In all truth, this is exactly what these girls wanted. A nothing band, known only to a few hundred or thousand, is now a world wide name, all thanks to their prosecution. Petty criminals are turned into glorified martyrs all over the world. In turn, this feeds into the anti-Russian line that the West loves to play upon. This time, however, they do not have to dig deep or spin reality in to the anti-Russian fantasies, this time their dinner comes on a silver platter, brought to them by the Justice Ministry.

The Church too is very much in the wrong. While they are right in their assessment of Pussy Riot, who pulled the stunt first and foremost for their own glorification and attention and with little care for those whose lives they disturbed or the rights of those they trampled on, the Church has acted absolutely unChristian. I say this as a true believer who wants the Church to lead society morally. However, one of the tenants of Christianity is forgiveness, something preached by Christ and by the Fathers of the Orthodox Church. Christ stated plainly that those without sin cast the first stone, but in a time when the Church is full of corrupt men driving expensive cars and wearing expensive jewelery, it is hardly sinless. The Church has burned through the sympathy it first garnered by trying to emulate the American Salem witch trials. It should have taken the higher moral ground, the high road. It should have publicly condemned the actions of these foolish girls, read them a lecture about their hate filled souls and forgiven them, even asking the State for leniency for these foolish sinners. Did not Christ say, in His last breath, upon the Cross "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do?" in reference to the Jews and Romans who had just murdered the Messiah?

On the side of the girls, Pussy Riot's trend of conducting impromptu "protest" concerts demonstrates not a defense of rights or freedom of speech, that is, not anyone's but Pussy Riot's. What it does demonstrate in this is a total contempt for the concept of other people's rights, to include the right to private property and freedom of worship. Least we forget, and it seems everyone in the Russian opposition either has or is to ignorant of our history to know, the tactics used by Pussy Riot are the exact same tactics employed by the Communists in the 1920s to intimidate and drive away believers from churches and other places of worship. Their tactic is loathsome at best and is criminal, in this case of disturbing the peace and gross criminal trespass.

While Pussy Riot has the right to love or hate President Putin all they want, and the right to protest him, they do not have that right, without express written permission, on private property. The Cathedral of Christ the Savior, is private property, owned by a private entity called the Russian Orthodox Church. While one may argue that it is open to the public, it is no more open than any store or other private venue. That is, they are open as long as you obey their rules and they have the riot to bar you and your impromptu to, unasked for, and unwanted "performance" at any time, as they are private property. The private organization has the right to evict you at any time. Try this in an American or German shopping center or church and watch how quickly you will be placed in handcuffs by the police.

Any group that does not understand or care for the rights of private property are not an opposition movement for freedom but one that would bring about their own tyranny, if given the chance. To idolize the likes of them, only demonstrates the low understanding of what freedom is and the responsibility it brings, both here in our Russia and abroad in the morally collapsing West.

McDonalds, Be careful What You Wish For

McDonalds, Be careful What You Wish For

McDonalds recently won a land mark case in Russia, forever changing an aspect of the fast food market and its profitability. Here is one in the eye of all those who scream, ignorantly, about the Russian judicial system.

McDonalds sued the Moscow Oblast Federal Tax Authority over the 18% restaurant tax. In a suit that went straight to the top, McDonalds won by convincing the court that it indeed is not a restaurant (here's to all the Americans that see it as fine dining) and is actually a grocery store.

What?, you say.

Yes, the reason is: they provide no restaurant service and indeed give preprepared and packaged food, when customers ask for it. That is the truth, since much of their "food" is made hours and maybe even a day before and sits under heat lamps waiting for its victims, er customers.

Well, why does this matter? Simple, a huge cost savings to McDonalds, McPick, KFC, McBlin, BurgerKing, Wendies and the army of other smaller establishments of like mind. Simply put, a grocery store pays 10% tax rates while a restaurant pays 18%.

Be careful what you wish for.

It would seem, McDonalds officials either did not read the laws guiding grocery store produce or figured that no one would notice, but some one did. Actually, quite a few someones, that is the customer rights and protection civil agencies. Yes, Anglo-world, be in shock, we Russians are civilized enough to have customer protection organizations founded by citizens.

Anyways, these groups have taken McDonalds to court and also won. They are not demanding money, all they are demanding is an exact listing of all contents: edible and chemical, that go into each and every one of McDonalds (and all other such places) "food". This of course, is a disaster for the industry.

In America, land of the free fat, and just corrupt, mega brands like McDonalds have long ago bought out the sniveling worms called politicians, and so can get away with calling anything anything and shoving what ever crap they can into their "food".

One of the things that came to light in their suit against McDonalds is that by Russian consumer law, McDonalds can not legally call their milk-shakes, milk-shakes but instead milk-containing shakes, since they put large amounts of vegetable oil in the shake instead of milk fat.

This is going to get very interesting, as McDonalds has over 1,400 stores in Russia, and are not going to cut and run and will be forced to disclose on each and every product's container, what is in it, in very specific terms. Customers will finally get to know what poison the executives of McDonalds are feeding them and their children.

This should be interesting. Americans can thank Russians (not for a second am I under the delusion that they will) that we have once again led and won the fight against a new world evil: chemical crap called food.

Russian Justice, Slow But On the March

Last week, a Russian court sentenced 4 men to 19 years in prison, in other words, longer then their life expectancy in prison, for the 2002 murder of Valentin Tsvetkov, 54, governor of Magadan. The reformist governor was shot in Oct 2002, leaving his office, in front of his wife. Vladimir Putin, then president, described the murder as a crime against Russia. The Western media, as always, blamed it on Putin, their standard propaganda move. Luckily when critics or former allies of the various rulers of the Anglo-Sphere get murdered, for things like telling the truth on Iraq before the war started, have their wive's cars explode into flame with their wives unconscious in them or have their bodies found in land dumps, it is never blamed on those in power but on mysterious foreigners and freak accidents.

Part of the delay was the length of time to extradite the main two heads of the crime. Alexander Zakharov was extradited from Spain in 2007 and Martin Babakesyan was extradited from Spain in 2008, while the other two: Artur Anisimov and Masis Akhunts were already held. See England, at least some European countries believe in Justice and do send criminals home, instead of giving them citizenship and defense, if they have enough cash.

The murder was committed over Tsvetkov's attempts to overhaul the local gold mining operations, installing and enforcing fishing quotas and the use of state funds for bringing in fuel and food in the winter. In other words, huge money was at stake for Zakharov and Babakesyan.

Also in the news is the beginning of two murder trials for the murders of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova. They were shot dead on January 19, 2009, in central Moscow. Nikolai Tikhonov and Yevgenia Khasis, members of a radical neo-Nazi nationalist group, were charged with the murders. Presiding Judge Alexander Zamashnyu, stressed to the jury that the prosecution had to prove the defendant's guilt, saying "The defense is not supposed to prove [their] innocence,"

The defendants pleaded not guilty.

Lenin, Stalin and Company and Their Backers Must Stand Trial In Russia

It has been 17 years since the Godless Communists have been ousted from Russia and it is high time that the Party and its icons stand trial for the mass murder, the famines, deportations and for almost loosing WW2, not to mention for turning what should have been the richest nation in the world into a second rate economy.

To begin with, there should be a trial of the main founders and ring leaders. Let the Party set up it's defense, in a court trial, while the prosecution prepares its charges. In an open court, with cameras rolling, lets finally spill forth all the secrets, all the crimes of these murderers. Let the dead finally rise up and tell their stories of the depravation and mass murderer that they and their families suffered, first under Lenin and than under Stalin and his cronies Bera, Krushchov, Molotov and company. And of course do not leave out Iron Felix.

Let the people know the full truth. Let them judge first the murder of the Tsar and his family, the massacres of the Cossacks who resisted, the destruction of the Kulaks, the mass executions of the Officers, the founding of the Gulags. All this is only the Lenin era when Trotsky and Stalin were but henchmen and Polish Iron Felix was running rampent with his Red Terror of which he is the father and the Latvian Rifles were Lenin's own body guards.

Of course we must not forget to pull in the fathers of Wall Street, who for promises of free exploitation of Russia and her resources, were more than happy to bank roll the Communists. Let the truth come out and the blame fall fully.

We can than move on to Stalin, Trotsky and the rest of the pack of devils and equally their Western backers, be they Ford, Armnhammer or FDR himself.

The truth is demanding to come out and it's freedom will have several effects. One, it will finally destroy any credibility of the remaining Soviet icons and put the very Party on trial and thus lead to its final destruction.

Two, it will drive out any last vestiges of Sovietism from Russia and finally, severing those few remaining anchors, she will be able to return to the politics of pre-WW1,which made her a super power of the time. The Russian culture will finally be free of the last of the atheist net of communism.

Finally, it will show Wall Street for the soulless evil that it is, for the creditors of some of the worst in human suffering while enriching themselves on the spoils of blood and gold that they so love.

It is high time that this was done, it is high time that the innocents who were murdered have their day in court.

Let the chips fall where they may.
